For the preparation of our dried porcini mushrooms, we start with healthy and strictly fresh specimens. Once they are thoroughly cleaned, we move on to slicing them before drying them. The dried mushroom slices are finally selected and packed by hand so that you can bring the authentic flavors of the forest to your table. In the kitchen, dried porcini is the perfect choice for making delicious risottos as well as sauces and dressings of all kinds. They are also excellent for flavoring broths, stews, soups and baked dishes.
Ingredients
Porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis and related group).
To be consumed after rehydration and cooking.
Gently rinse the porcini slices under cold running water, then soak them in warm water for 20 minutes before use. Once they have softened, you can use them in your recipes. To enhance the flavor of your mushrooms, we suggest saving the soaking water, straining it with a gauze or strainer, and using it in your cooking.
Before drying, our mushrooms are thoroughly cleaned: however, they may have traces of soil or other impurities that the user will take care to remove in the soaking process.
Storage Instruction
For proper storage keep in a cool, dry place. Once the bag is opened, store the mushrooms in an airtight container. For long periods store the product in the freezer, inside the original package or in a freezer bag.
The product retains its optimum characteristics if consumed by the date recommended on the package. Avoid humidity and direct sunlight.
