Guar Gum is of natural origin derived from the guar plant. It has thickening, stabilizing and emulsifying properties. It’s a gluten-free, odourless and tasteless ingredient added to food in small quantities as a bulking agent to enrich, emulsify and stabilise them. It’s also a perfect natural thickener more effective than corn starch or tapioca.
Origin: Guar plant.
Function: Stabilizer and thickening agent.
Use: Cold or hot dissolution using a mixer.
Technical input: Works better when used in water solutions.
Allows gluten-free baking.
Does not thicken if content of sugar is high.
